This is a re-post of a quick screen capture I did on how to access the UV Maps of Bishop (© Animationmentor.com) and assign some colors and textures to it.
This is mainly relevant for AM Students because you won’t get a chance to play with that rig unless you join Animationmentor – but let me tell you – this rig R-O-C-K-S!

Manfred, it’s really cool that you have this tutorial up here. I already knew how to do it but I know this would have been golden in class 3. Awesome work man. See you around campus.
Thx Ken!
Good Luck with your Short!
Rock On!
Thanks for posting that, Manfred. I think i see what i did wrong when it didn’t work for me. Gonna try that again!

hey manfred, thanks a lot for this tutorial. its very easy to follow. however when i select the objects with the bishop body material for instance and then try to open the uv texture editor it gives me an error message: “// Error: Object not found: polyTexturePlacementPanel1″ and the uv’s wont show. do you have any idea how to get around this. in the beginning it worked just fine. then i put new materials on bishop for head and body because the default materials are causing problems when rendering with mental ray. after that it didnt work anymore. even if i open a new file and import the default bishop in, i still get this error… would be great if you had an answer to this.

I have not tried your directions in the tutorial yet…I’m wondering …I am putting each shot into an individual file…working on them separately…should I dress all of my characters first ..before making the individual files and starting the blocking or… make the psd file the way you did and apply the material later ????
Thanks, Barbra
