About Animationmentor
Animationmentor is an online animation school founded by three professional animators from leading feature film studios – Bobby Beck, Carlos Baena, Shawn Kelly. Animationmentor opened its doors in March 2005, is certified by the California Bureau for Private Post Secondary and Vocation Education and its first class graduated in September 2006.
The Animationmentor curriculum has been designed by professionals, working at the top animation studios in the industry, focusing 100% on character animation. This gives our curriculum a “real world” insight into what studios are looking for in new animation talent. At Animationmentor, students are mentored one-on-one by professional animators from major studios. Our approach prepares students with the skills and attitude they need to take into the studio arena. Our online campus is built with a studio focus in mind, allowing our students to get comfortable with the many challenges and opportunities they will experience when working in a studio environment.
Upon completition of ou 18-month program, students will graduate with a certified diploma in “Advanced Studies in Character Animation”.
