A few weeks Animationmentor announced that they have been accepted into Sony Picture Imageworks IPAX program (Imageworks professional academic excellence program).
This is just awesome and another proof that AM is already a big part of the industry.
Congrats!
Almost

Wow - one month passed since the last posting!
I’m sorry for that, but there is just too much work right now to think about anything else then finishing my shortfilm. Siggraph was amazing, San Diego was amazing, the parties where amazing, the people I met where amazing. Awesome. All the way. I have a lot of pictures to show and stories to tell and I will do that when the short is finished. No - really!
Only 10 days until the upload of the *final* short. I call it *final* because there is just no way to polish every single shot until the deadline - but most of the shots will be at least in the first polish pass. .. And please don’t ask about lighting and render
What else?
After applying at Blue Sky during Siggraph I got a job offer to work on “Horton hears a who“. Believe me – the hours after getting that email seemed like a rollercoaster. I allready started packing my stuff and checking flights to New York. .. well, almost
.. but in the end the whole gig didn’t work out because they where not able to sponsor a visa. Bummer! But hey – Blue Sky! And they liked my stuff!
My two character dialogue piece “A Room With A View” was nominated for the AM 2007 Summer Showcase.
And here are some videos with Bobby Beck, Carlos Baena and Shawn Kelly - recorded during Siggraph.
